Why it sucks: Think it's been four years since I had cheedai.

How I still manage: Just found them in an obscure shop in Little India, imported from Grand Sweets. Wish they'd had the thonnais with steaming hot pongal or sambhar saadam or thayir saadam or.. time to stop, I'm drooling.

cheedai are those round, fried nuggets of dough rite ???? think we bought back some when we visited chennai last week .... not really bad stuff but there is too much pepper in it .....

sooo tell me ur mailbox and i will fedex u a packet of it ..... together with some murukku and other misc savoury stuff .... *grin*

You should also be missing Kozhukkattais and sundal, given that viayakar chathurthi just passed by!! :P

yes, that's the one! and pepper? i don't remember tasting any pepper!

yes :( but i think my mom made kozhakattais for me sometime when i was home - even when it was not vinayaka chaturti!

hey thr are really a lot of good indian restaurants in singapore .. i was in singapore for 3 months as a project student in NUS and all i did was explore the tiny island .. just go exploring the place .. i had all cuisines .. and i am sure u get cheedai in some indian sweet shop in singapore .. lol .. have fun
